Re-Launch of Adventure-Travel-Destinations.com Tours
We launched ATD & Tours about two years ago and it took us many months to get it to rank well in search results. The hosting and marketing were subcontracted out and unfortunately the contractors had a problem with the server and lost everything. We just put it on hold for a while and relaunched it again in 2012.
This time it is a better site with many more adventure travel tours and packages. Where before we wanted to list only tours that could be booked directly with the hotels, we have now added tours from independent names like G Adventures. We have also organized it differently so that you now have two avenues to find the right tour for you: by themes and by area (vacation specials).
What to expect from Adventure Tours 2012
We share with you our selection of the best Adventure Travel Tours and Packages around the globe.
We hand pick tours and packages from award wining ATCOs (Adventure Travel Companies), all with a special emphasis on grass roots tours and top cultural experiences.
You will find tours and packages with G Adventures, Intrepid Travel and other top names in the industry. In addition, we have put together local tours where you deal directly with hotels, tourism companies and authorities on location. These tours don’t have an agent and we don’t charge a commission, just a set subscription for posting the tour. Only selected hotels and tours are eligible.
Locals with special knowledge and experience are the experts we like to connect you with. They can give you insights and experiences that are truly unique.
Many of the tours we like are almost impossible to organize on your own, so we use the expertise of the leading Adventure Travel Companies.
Our Adventure Travel Tours cover all ages and all levels of effort. From extreme to relaxing. Adventure is what you make it and if you believe it is an adventure, it is.
ATD gives you several ways to find the perfect tour. You can go by destinations, that is under the “Vacation Specials“ Tab and select the regions you want to visit. We cover tours from polar adventures, to African safaris and lots in-between.
You can also select by themes such as Family, Romantic, Luxury, Escape or Age.

Nova Scotia has great scenery, the largest tides in the world, theater, arts and wineries. It also has 3 UNESCO world heritage sites, the latest being Grand Pre, a historical Arcadian settlement now with several award winning wineries. Nearby is the old town of Wolfville with its young and vibrant university, arts community, fantastic outdoors and delicious local seafood.
The capital city is Halifax and in summer it is a fun place to visit with many outdoor holiday activities such as whale watching, sailing and a string of festivals. Some say that summer in Halifax is party-time.
